Hello, my name is Cassidy Burke. I am currently pursuing a B.F.A. in Theatre: Design and Technology with a concentration in Technical Direction from The Pennsylvania State University. I am in my senior year and just obtained the Smeal College Business Fundamentals Certificate to go along with my major. I was previously a student at Point Park University and worked at the Pittsburgh Playhouse in the scene shop. While there, I was responsible for scenic fabrication including woodworking, metalworking, rigging, load-in, and strike. Another role I took on for several shows was Lead Carpenter. While in that position I was responsible for creating the cut-lists and build schedules and managing materials with the scene shop foreman.
